hi, i didn't understand how u've solved this problem, i'm having similar problem !
anyone please elaborate ?
QUESTION : do i have to change tracker srvr to :
"http://...announce.php?passkey=pass4thattorr1"
or,
"http://...announce.php?password=pass4thattorr1"
(Lets assume i've setup a specific password for this torrent, which is "pass4thattorr1").
PROBLEM : when i/users click on "download", PMBT taking me to an empty page !
CONFIG : my PMBT was configured as such : download, upload, etc are allowed only to registered premium & above users only, and all torrent files were uploaded with different password. using PMBT v1.2.2, rel: Jul 10 2007.

i was able to solve (some part of) it.
PARTIAL SOLVE:
its "http://...announce.php?passkey=a1b2c3d4e5f6g7h8i9jk"
different user will have different "passkey", for the same torrent.
and passkey can be found inside database, in table "torrent_users", in field "passkey". i've sent that to user.
QUESTION:
will this passkey be automatically set, when users download a "torrent" file ?
how can it(passkey) be automatically emailed to the user, after registration, or after admin approval ?
password for torrent is for torrent webpage viewing ? i guess so.
PROBLEM:
i still have empty page problem, durin downlodin the "torrent" file.

Thanks Joe, for solving the empty download page problem.
Just want to add here, those who r wondering (as i was), How to Use or Enable passkey mode,
is to, Login as admin, goto "Administration" -- > "User Manager", Click on "Edit Profile" icon of a specific user that u want to force to use passkey. Select the "Use passkey" option, save settings.
After that, that user have to use passkey parameter in the Trackr srvr name. If he/she got the "torrent" earlier/before u setup that passkey mode, then u can either tell him/her to delete the old "torrent" file (not the data) & re-download the "torrent" file again (torrent file should have the passkey set inside them now), or, u can email the passkey, from database, and instruct him/her to manually set the passkey parameter.
If there is an option/feature available during install/setup of PMBT, that when a new user register, PMBT will force premium type of users to use passkey, automatically, then that would have been better, without manually selecting "use passkey" for every user. Or a column of "passkey" select option, next to each user in User Manager, to choose which users will be forced to use passkey.
Or, a feature in the announce.php that notifies to such "passkey enabled" user(s) to delete the "torrent" file only, not data files, and re-download the "torrent" file with passkey, then that will be great.
