Ive noticed on alot of the hacks and themes, there is some source code, then someone updates it, then someone else updates in, then someone says add this, and on and on an on.

There should be website or forum that allows "stable" scripts and themes to be easier to use and install instead of going through the first post, installing it that way, then finding out 5 replies later that there is something else you have to do, then doing that, then another 5 replies later there is something else you have to do.

We either need a website or forum to put tar/zip files of "stable" mods and themes so they would be easier to install.

Hi

I want to run a Torrent from my home computer to distribute tutorials.

My plan is to use phpMyBitTorrent on my spare home computer. I will get over the IP problem with DynDSN..

If you have a home based example of phpMyBitTorrent running I would love to visit it too get an idea of what can be done..

Thank you...

Hi Everyone,

Captain Tripz here and happy to be so. I'm looking forward to getting my tracker up and running. I have put up three different ones prior to this. Torrent Trader 1, Btit, and Vuze (before it was Vuze.) I learned a little about PHP, but I have forgotten it all since then. I have 25 years in the computer business, but I am not a programmer. I worked with hardware, networks, operating systems, and security. I am now disabled and have some time on my hands. It is amazing how little time it amounts too, but it will be enough to get this up and going <G>.

I am putting the tracker up for my group which trades open source Grateful Dead shows. I am a huge lover of music, and particular live shows. I am not familiar with a lot of the new bands. I guess I live in the past. I am a Widespread Panic fan if that is new. Now the blues are a different story. I am a blues fanatic so most of what I listen to is the rockin' blues, jam bands, and old rock. I also play bass guitar and love guitars in general. They are collectors items as well as instruments.

Anything that goes really fast or is really powerful is very cool. NHRA, Nascar, tractor pulls, boat races, air races, and you name it. If someone souped it up, then I dig it.

Lastly I am an avid boater, hence the Captain part (though Jerry Garcia was given that nickname for his LSD consumption and he hated it.) I have a 28 foot cruiser that I have to sell due to my disability. Very sad. I have boated my whole life and all in fresh water, mostly rivers. I can run the river with the best of them.

It's great to be here and I hope you can put up with the few questions I might have. I am really good at following directions, but sometimes I do get stuck and need a fresh thought. I am sure I can find it here.

Look forward to getting to know a few of you. Especially women as I am single <G>. That's the last you will hear of that, I promise.

TIA,
Captain Tripz

from TorrentFreak website=> Last month, TorrentFreak had the pleasure of interviewing Merrin, the founder of the 150,000 member MVGroup tracker. It is with great sadness that we bring the news that after a long struggle against increasing health problems, Merrin has passed away, aged just 32. Sad

Hello every one. I have had a great deal of wonderful
luck with phpMyBitTorrent. It is a fresh look and feel.
It has been a breeze to set up and run with very little work.
It may lack some of the extras that some sites have but with some
work you can set it up nicely.
I really hope that more of you well
let me know if you have the same luck with yours. I have been sadden
to see some of you give up so easy on this as once you have it installed
and set its a really nice program Im sure that more input from others
would help to take care of many problems that others may face you never
know the trouble you have some one else may have had and fixed and can
help you to fix yours. I have had mine up for some time now and I
got most of the flaws out of it as small and easy to fix as they where
and I am just one person doing all the work with the help of these fine
people of the phpMyBitTorrent team. I know that there are a few more things that
i would like to have on my site and would like for some help with adding so if any of you guys got ideas please post them. I know that I want to hear from you.

Hello, Just wondering if anyone had a good understanding of trackers. I noticed alot of different trackers in use. Some dont seam to be mybittorrent friendly, but maybe it something on the end users side.
