Hello,

We have built a test user to check the functionality of our upcoming site and noticed that that user (along with the admin user) can not log into the Forums. Odd thing is that if we go to the Forum directly (via /phpBB3/index.php) the users can log in just fine.

It seems like the users are being logged into the torrent site (phpmybittorrent) rather than the forum site (phpBB3). When a user enters their username and password on the forum section a login success screen comes up on the phpmybittorrent site and then the forum login page is reloaded (but the user is not logged into the forum).

They are the only users right now because the site is still being built and has not been advertised yet.

the PMBT login works for both as long as you go to admin=>Forum Integrating and check the Turn on Forum Share

Well, I just checked and I have Forum Sharing turned on. So, shouldn't the users be able to log into the Forum site using their username/password from the torrent site now? Ultimately I am wondering how this problem can be resolved?

I am beginning to think that the issue is some kind of discrepancy between the paths I set in phpBB3 and in the Forum Integration within PMBT. I just spent a while messing with them, and they seem correct, but I still think they could be to blame.

I have attached screens with the settings in PMBT and in phpBB3.

Please check your nav bar for the url links that phpBB3 is giving you and tell me if the include a session key.

I don't quite follow where in phpBB3 you are asking me to search for links, but i included a photo of a link Firefox gives me when I am going to click the 'Login' button under the 'Forums' page.

Let me know if this is what you need or if you need something else.

when you click on view a forum in the nav bar dose it look like this

I need to know if after you login from the phpBB3/ link dose it still show you the sid=13654654687354 in the links or not please.

include/functions.php doesn't have any of those lines of code in it.

There is no "styles\xxxxxx\template\posting_smilies.html" folder.
I thought maybe he might of meant the 'themes' folder, but still don't see it.

there is no 'functions_privmsgs.php' file in my 'include' folder.

It seems like the problem he is describing is the same - unfortunately, the solution doesn't seem to apply.

First you should make sure your info under 'Forum Integration' (in the Administration of PMBT) and the 'Administration Control Panel' (in the phpBB3 Forum) are correct / match.

You should also test if turning off Secure Cookies in the Administration Control Panel will fix the issue. I have SSL on my server, but turning on Secure Cookies still broke my Forum.

Lastly, you should try this: http://www.phpmybittorrent.com/forum/index.php/m/3728/540/?s rch=forum+cookie+fix#msg_3728
