I think we're almost there, so here's the immediate to-do list (feel free to edit my post to add to that, joe):
- Donations Module
are we done here? shall we get that one-line donations-drive description into the donations box? i think that would be a good thing. what about the actual box now -- keep it to the left, underneath the cat box, or make it bigger, under the welcome box.
- Install scripts
I know you already did some work on that, joe, but is it all done yet? I saw that you just committed an sql-file called paypal.sql -- i think since the donations module is now part of the core, that should be part of the main db scripts.
- Upgrade scripts
ditto. i think it would be enough to provide an upgrade path from 1.0 to 1.2
-Upgrade instructions
will have to be updated.
- Language files
We'll have to diff the non-english language files, and insert any additional strings (in english at first, if somebody volunteers to look through the final result and translate the additionals strings, fine). all of this will have to be done after everything else is ready, so there are no more strings changing.
- Testing
We'll have to run tests for a clean install, as well as an upgrade from 1.0 to 1.2. Any volunteers?
- Prepare the packages for release
Now, I don't know whether sourceforge has some sort of mechanism to prepare the CVS version for release packageing. I didn't see any of the sort. So .. will have to go through the folders and manually remove all of those "CVS" folders with the CVS meta data?
