Hey guys,

This is my first time using pmbt so there are a few issues Im having. I hope you can shine some light on these.

Firstly I was hoping to have a website that operates as a search engine for torrents, do i have to add each external torrent manual?

Ive tried adding a torrent from another site and get :

 Upload Failed!

Invalid Announce URL. Must be udp://denis.stalker.h3q.com:6969/announce

On install i changed the domain.com/announce URL to mywebsite.com/announce. Was this a mistake?

I'm not sure what the answer is to your questions about having to add each external torrent manually and how you changed the announce URL, but:

You should log into your site with the administrator username/password, then go to the Administration menu and then click on 'Settings'. Make sure "Allow External Torrents" is checked.

Hope that helps a bit. Let me know how that goes... I'm sure Joe or someone else will be able to help you out more if you need.

Thanks for the reply, External torrents are allowed.

This doesnt seem to be the problem though, I think its to do with the announce URL in setup that i changed. Or maybe Im wrong not sure lol

Thanks,

So how is it possible to add large numbers of torrents automatically?

Do i need my own tracker? Would that find and add torrents? To do it by hand would not be possible with the volume of torrents daily.

you can add mas torrents with PMBT you just need to watch out for the ones that use udp for announce url

Hm ok Ill give that a go then. Im alos looking at Atrack with google app engine, not sure which will be a better build. Ill play around with both. Thanks again
