i have modified my pmbt theme. i get this error when right column is enabled.

Fatal error: Call to a member function sql_query() on a non-object in /home/daffy/public_html/blocks/mainmenu.php on line 37

the line is

        $res = $db->sql_query($sql);

it is ok on my other themes.

i have change pmbt theme and am wanting an image 1 side to the other with links in, but cant seem to get an image to show. above pic shows background color of my theme with links squashed but no image shown.

i have this atm
