It would be great if someone could make a plugin/mod where it is possible to crawl/spider after torrents (with specific keywords) on different torrent trackers (both open and private), and then upload the torrents in "phpMyBittorrent".

joe's torrent snatching script can be fed with keyword-specific RSS feeds (like the ones mininova, torrentspy, and a cpl of other sites offer).

to run the script periodically though, i think you'd have to set up a cronjob that calls the php file w/ parameters. there's sites that offer "remote cronjobs" (i.e. they remotely call a script on your site, but it has to be publicly accessible for that).

I'm interested in hearing more about this script. Where is it available and what exactly does it do. Does it provide a list of possible torrents to add that you approve, or does it automatically add the torrents to to different sections?

I have not had much time to play with it lately because I am really busy with work (my real job) and getting V2.0 ready for release
I have not release the snatch mod as of yet because I was stell adding more sites to it.
I well open a rss feed from several sites(one at a time). and allow you to select the torrents that you want to down load(snatch) then it well add each of said torrents to your site automatically adding category and details if available. it well scrape each torrent to give the proper peer data.
Some sites well have select by category some well have search feature it well just depend on the site you use.

This script is only for phpMyBitTorrent and well not work on any other tracker with out modding it

Thats cool, I understand, yeah 2.0 is def the focus now, I just thought this was a done thing a while back and not commonly advertised. Doesn't matter for me as PMBT is the only tracker I use hahaha, speaking of it, I came across a project on sourceforge the other day that claims to be porting PMBT to asp.net, never looked at it to see whether it was vaporware or if it had steam, but I guess imitation s the highest form of flattery hahaha
