Hello. This is my first post here.

I want to change my tracker and start using phpmybitTorrent.

I found out that I can't write some greek letters in the torrent's description when using FCK editor. For example έ is replaced by ε (htmlentities issue?)

Is there a way to fix it? I also changed the scheme not to use latin1 charset in mysql, so it the torrent's title greek letters seem fine.

Haven't tries search yet.

one possibility would be to try and download newer version of fck editor...
but since the development of the tracker is heading towards the removal of fck editor completely - i think it will be better to hold on with the error you have now, and after that upgrading to newer version without it

but that's just how i see it - don't take my word too seriously

It doesn't seem a good idea to me to put all my torrent's description and then upgrade. Then I will have to fix them all again Sad

I recommend you take two weeks off and then quit all together, if you ain't gonna go for the long haul and get involved and learn and contribute! Razz

That is weird .. Hebrew, Arabic, Russian characters are no problem at all.

I would switch off FCKeditor for now (uncheck Admin > Settings > Use Html Editor), enter your descriptions in plain text, and wait for the next release to spruce things up with the new BBcode editor (as Revan already said, FCKeditor is most probably getting the axe, it's just too unwieldy).

BTW, with FCKeditor switched off, I was able to get greek letters to display fine in both titles and descriptions WITHOUT changing the latin1 charset in the database.

dude, there's really nothing wrong with asking when the next release is coming out..
